Hospital chaplains

A number of our ministers and deaconesses serve as either full-time or part-time chaplains in our hospitals and prisons. Those people who find themselves in either hospital or prison are clearly facing times of particular stress or trauma in their lives, with additional strain on their families. Our chaplains are especially gifted to meet these areas of need in these very different and difficult situations. They hold regular services of worship and are able to offer vital pastoral care to people in times of exceptional stress, whether in the hospital ward or in the prison. Their work is both challenging and demanding and they truly value the prayers and support of the wider church.
